A word that is a part of our daily vocabulary.

We are deeply committed to corporate social responsibility and ethics, with an active role in United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) the world’s largest voluntary global social responsibility initiative.

As one of UNGC’s first 14 signatories, we have pledged to align and observe 10 universal principles on human rights, labour rights, environmental sustainability and anti-corruption in our operations and strategies.

RUSS is proud to be one of the founding partners of the Malaysia Global Compact (MYGC) Network, a voluntary, not-for-profit network of companies, community groups and civil society organisations with a shared mission: Catapult Corporate Society Responsibility in Malaysia onto the global forefront.

Malaysia Compact is also the host for the UNGC in Malaysia.

As a founding member, RUSS shares the same principles as MYGC:

• Responsible business practices benefit more than the mere wellbeing of its stakeholders; it presents long-term value propositions for the business itself.
• A sound environment in which to do business will harness opportunities and minimise risks.
• Responsible practices build trust and social capital, encouraging broad-based development and sustainable markets.

Membership of the Malaysia Compact is free and open to all.

We have strong ties with worldwide women’s rights organisation Soroptimist International, having collaborated with them on projects in conjunction with the Breast Cancer Welfare Association.
